Alec Race, Sr.

Alec George Race Sr. August 7, 1947 January 29, 2014 Alec George Race Sr., 66, a native of Franklin and a resident of Morgan City passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Ochsner Medical Center. Alec is survived by his wife, Marietta Woodard Race of Morgan City; one son, Alec G. Race Jr. of Morgan City; one daughter, Deborah Leigh Race Myers of Labadieville; three grandchildren: Emily Faye Race, Landon Scott Myers and Brittany Renee Myers. Alec was preceded in death by his mother, Emily Ewing Race. A Memorial Service and visitation will be held at Twin City Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 beginning at 10am until 12pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pharr Chapel Methodist Church.
