Sidney Joseph Barras

Sidney Joseph Barras, 64, a resident of Belle Rose and a native of Morgan City, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2008 at his residence. Sidney is survived by his mother, Elma Hidalgo Barras of Morgan City, one brother, Edgar Barras Jr. and his wife Rita of Pierre Part, Long time companion, Ric Rousseau of Belle Rose, Sister-in-law, Margaret Ackman and her husband Daniel of Pierre Part, God daughter, Tammy Templet of Pierre Part, four nephews: Ken Barras of Florida, Dane Barras, Ryan Barras and Shane Barras all of Pierre Part, one niece, Amanda B. Guillot of Plattenville, three grand nieces and three grand nephews. Sidney was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Barras Sr. and his grandparents. Visitation will be held Friday, June 27, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 5pm until 9pm. The visitation will continue Saturday, June 28, 2008 from 8am until 11am. Funeral service will commence at 11am at Twin City Funeral Home. Sidney will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery.
