Dorothy Ogeron Leopold, age 92,a native of Port Arthur, Texas, and a resident of Berwick, La. died Tuesday July 1, 2008 at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.
Dorothy was member of AARP, and a member of First United Methodist Church of Berwick. She loved a lot in her life but nothing compared to the love of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She loved cooking, and her champagne brunches. Traveling and cruises were some of her favorites as well as music and dance. One can say that Dorothy “Did it her way.”
Dorothy is survived by one son, Simon Leopold and his wife Olyah of the Ukraine, and a son-in-law Henry Daigle, of Morgan City, two grandchildren, Dirk Daigle and his partner Shyrle Parnell and Kristie Daigle Courtney and her husband Greg, and four Great Grandchildren, Jonathan and Jamie Courtney, Joshua Daigle and his wife Mellisa Thibodeaux Daigle
and Jason Boyd.
She was predeceased by her father and mother Charles and Rose Hanson Ogeron, her husband, Aubrey Leopold, her daughter, Mona Rose Leopold Daigle, four brothers, Louis, Warren, Charles Ogeron Jr. and James Hanson, and five sisters, Fadra O. Rock, Ardice O Blanco, Velma Robicheaux, Rose Orgeron, and Dexter Hanson.
Pallbearers: Greg Courtney, Jonathan Courtney, Joshua Daigle, Jason Boyd, Brian Vick, Joe Vidos.
Honorary Pallbearer: Glen Ghirardi.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until 11 AM on Tuesday July 8, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in Berwick. The funeral service will begin at 11 AM. Burial will be in the Berwick Mausoleum.
