Felix J. Gaudet Jr. 74, a resident of Berwick passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at his home. Felix was born on May 29, 1939 in New Orleans the son of Felix J. Gaudet Sr. and Rosalie Fryou Gaudet. Mr. Felix was proud of his Cajun heritage. He hunted, fished and shrimped all over his beloved state of Louisiana. He learned from his father how to live off of the land as a True Cajun Man and passed his knowledge down to his loved ones. He also wrote and sang country and Cajun music which was a loved past time. He will be dearly missed but forever in the hearts and minds of his family. The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice for their compassion and care. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years Earline Guidry Gaudet of Berwick; two daughters, Roxanne E. Gaudet of Bayou Vista, Roslind M. Gaudet Brown and husband Aaron of Berwick; four grandchildren, Felicia Anne Malone and husband Adam of West Monroe, Felix "Jacob" Brown of Houma, Jacklyn Nicole Brown of Plaquemine, Erin Lynn Brown of Berwick; two great grandchildren, Kade Michael Malone and Kobyn Adam Malone both of West Monroe. Felix is also survived by two brothers, Victor Gaudet of Amelia and Louis Gaudet of Bayou L'Ourse; one sister, Loraine Aucoin of Amelia. Mr. Felix was preceded in death by his parents, Felix J. Gaudet Sr. and Rosalie Fryou Gaudet; four brothers, John Gaudet, Gilday Gaudet, Hembley Gaudet, Eros Gaudet; and sister, Christine Verret. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2013 at Twin City Funeral Home. Following the visitation a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Greg Fratt officiating. Following mass Mr. Felix will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Aaron Brown, Felix "Jacob" Brown, Adam Malone, Adam Albarado, Marshall Alleman, Clint Abshire. Honorary pallbearers will be Kade Malone, Kobyn Malone and Ernest Gaudet.
