Delores Ann McCracken, 68, a native of Cumberland, Ohio and long time resident of Morgan City, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
Delores loved people and she showed it by serving others. She served in the church and especially loved the children and babies in the nursery. She served in the restaurant industry for over 35 years. No matter where Delores was serving she was smiling and her cheerful disposition will be sadly missed.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and her life was lived to make others happy.
She is survived by her son, Geoffrey McCracken and wife Shanna of Liberty, TX., her daughter, Jennifer McCracken of Cleveland, TX.; five grandchildren, Patrick, William, Mitchell, Lilah, and Elise.
She is also survived by one sister, Dora, one niece, Brittany Pizor Doehrel and one nephew, Alex Pizor.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carlos Palmer, her mother, Mary Moore Palmer-Colbert, one brother, Daniel Palmer, and her husband, William McCracken, Sr.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Bethel Pentecostal Church from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and resume Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at the church from 2p.m. until time of service beginning at 3p.m. Delores will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
