Ernest Opitz II

Ernest "Buddy" Optiz II, 61 a resident of Lafayette and a native of Wisner, La., passed away August 31, 2008 in Many, La. Ernest is survived by his daughter, Lena Osborne and her husband Matt of Lafayette, one son, Joshua S. Opitz of Lafayette and one brother, Jim Optiz of Morgan City. Ernest is also survived by four grandchildren, Sarah Opitz, Joshua E. Optiz, Marin Osborne, Logan Osborne, his nephew Bronson Opitz and his wife Brittany. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Opitz Sr. and Lee Welch Optiz. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 2pm until 3pm.
