Nelda M. Daigle June 8, 1927 August 30, 2014 Nelda M. Daigle, 87, a native of Four Mile Bayou and resident of Morgan City went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Nelda was a passionate Catholic believer that expressed her loved for Christ in taking care of her family and friends. She was a mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spoiling all of her grandchildren whenever she had the chance. Nelda was full of charisma and charm and would never meet a stranger. She would open her home up to anyone who needed something to eat or a place to stay when they were down on their luck. Many people who knew her would say she was full of grace towards her family and friends. Nelda will be lovingly remember by her four daughters: Gail and her husband, Gary Lombas of Berwick, Barbara and her husband, Lawrence Toups of Berwick, Kim Morin of Morgan City and Angela Daigle of Morgan City; three sons: Alfred “Poochie” Daigle Sr. and his wife, Mayola of Patterson, Aubrey Daigle and his wife, Nora of Morgan City and David Daigle and wife, Lisa of Berwick; 26 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren; one brother, Hubert “Shine” Scully and wife, Gertrude of Bayou Vista; two sisters: Audrey “Doot” Bailey of Stephensville; LeAnna “DeeDee” Acosta of Stephensville along with one adopted daughter, Genivee “Neen” Broussard and one son-in-law, Sterling "Moose" Aucoin. Nelda was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Daigle; her parents, John and Nora Lee Scully; three brothers: Wade, Leonard “Yan” and Elwood “Tot” Scully; one daughter, Cheryl Aucoin;one granddaughter and three grandsons. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Holy Cross beginning at 9am until time of mass. A Christian Mass of Burial will begin at 11am and she will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Morgan City Cemetery.
