Thomas Lyles Parkman

Thomas “Tommy” Lyles Parkman, 79, a resident of Bayou Vista and a native of Ruston, LA., passed away at his residence Friday, September 19, 2008. Tommy was known to all as a very hard worker and was always willing to help others, even through his illness. His family and friends will sadly miss Tommy. Tommy is survived by his children, Denny and his wife Connie Parkman, Nancy Leonard and her companion Randy Jeandron and Kristal and her husband Darin Hebert. Step children; Elaine and her husband Mike Ledet, Chuck Pizani, Tanya and her husband Jason Boswell. 27 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren also survive Tommy. Tommy was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Alford Parkman, his daughter, Bonnie Parkman, granddaughter, Jasmine, great-grandchildren, Christian and Noah, stepson, Freddy Gulley, stepdaughter, Renee Dias and 8 brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends Monday, September 22, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6pm until 9pm. The visitation will resume Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 9am until 12noon. Funeral services will commence at 12noon at Twin City Funeral Home with Rev. John Smilie officiating. Tommy will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
