Terry Duhon, 50, a resident of Bayou L’Ourse and a native of Jeanerette, passed away at his residence. Terry was A family man to say the least he dedicated his life to his family and friends. He was and always will be the heart and soul of our family. He lived everyday of his life to the fullest, as if it were his last. He was a man of few words but his the words he spoke touched your heart. He never sweated the small stuff, he always found humor in the seriousness of any situation. He took great pride in spending time spoiling his grand children and even his sugar belle with his toys, whether it be riding them on the 4-wheeler or joy riding in the boat. He also enjoyed teaching his grandson how to use the yard as an outhouse. He was not only an awesome father but also a best friend to each and every one of his children. After four long years he is once again reunited with is soul mate.
Terry is survived by his son Brian Blankenship of Pierre Part, four daughters; Brandy Duhon and her companion Justin Gros of Stephensville, Terri Thibodeaux and her husband Toby of Bayou L’Ourse, Brittany Thibodeaux and her husband Ryan of Bayou L’Ourse, Tabatha Gros and her husband Lonnie of Napoleonville, mother-in-law Lucille Kidder and special companion Vatchel Werline of Bayou L’Ourse, four brothers; EJ Duhon of Jeanerette, Larry Duhon of Jeanerette, Willie Rollins Sr. of Bayou L’Ourse, Tommy Kidder and his wife Amy of Bayou L’Ourse, two sisters, Betty Duhon LeBlanc of New Iberia, Virgil Curtis of Bayou L’Ourse and a sister-in-law, Paula Beniot and her husband Donald of Bayou L’Ourse and his little fire cracker Tina Teague. Terry is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Tristan Nicole Blankenship, Caitlin Blankenship, Holden Thibodeaux, Vallarie White, Elizabeth Thibodeaux, Raelyne Gros, Brian Blankenship and one on the way. Terry was proud to be the Godfather to Willie Joe Rollins Jr., Justin Hebert, Thomas Kidder and “J-Boy” Dupre.
Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Duhon, his parents, Edgar and Bernadette Dupuy Duhon, two sisters, Lisa Duhon, Elaine Duhon, one brother, Donald Duhon, nephew and godchild Jacob Duhon, Father-in-law, Easton Kidder, sister-in-law, Nancy Rollins, brother-in-law, Satch Curtis Sr., Sister-in-law, Luna Duhon and Linda Guillot and brother-in-law, Robert LeBlanc.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6pm until 9pm. The visitation will resume Friday, October 10, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 9am until 10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at St. Andrews Catholic Church at 11am. Terry will be laid to rest in St. Andrews Cemetery.
