Marie Smith

Marie Smith, a resident of Morgan City and a native of Hattiesburg, MS. Passed away at her residence, Saturday, October 11, 2008. Marie was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Marie is survived by two sons, Harold Smith Sr. and his wife Rosalie of Morgan City, Glenn Smith and his wife Kathy of Morgan City, one daughter, Judy Babin and her husband Wayne of Morgan City. Marie is also survived by 14 grandchildren; Katherine Smith, Harold Smith Jr., Paula Ratcliff, Donna Smith, David Smith, Kelly Jo Pillaro, Ashley Ribardi, Jody Matthews, Shaun Smith, Kristian Smith, Taylor Smith, Pamela Babin Miller, Kristie Babin McNemar, Mary Catherine Babin and 11 great-grandchildren; Jean Paul Templet, Jonathan Ratcliff, Elizabeth Ratcliff,Caroline Smith, Emily Pillaro, Juliana Smith, Landynne Ribardi, Luke Matthews, Jacob Thibodeaux, John Ross McNemar, Zachery Miller and Drew Miller. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Smith, her parents, Howard Patterson and Ruby Crosby Patterson, one brother, Willie Patterson. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 9am until 11am. Funeral services will commence at 11am with Rev. Lamar Oliver officiating. Marie will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
