Debra Oubre Corter

Debra Oubre Corter, 43, a resident of Berwick passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 at her home. Debra was born January 5, 1971 in Luling the daughter of Barry Joseph Oubre Sr. and Linda Evans Oubre. Debra enjoyed doing needle point, embroidering and crocheting. She loved collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia and also loved to play darts and participated on a dart league. Debra loved spending time with her family and in the last few years took care of her mother. She always made it a point on every holiday to send everyone a card or give them some type of small gift. She was a wonderful mother to her son and made sure that all his needs were met. Debra will be missed by all her family and friends. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Joseph Corter, of Berwick; mother, Linda Evans Oubre of Berwick; one brother Christopher Oubre Sr. and wife Jea'n of Morgan City; five nieces and nephews, Justin M. Oubre, Crystal Tomino, Shelbey Theriot, Christopher Oubre Jr., Tara Oubre; four great nieces and nephews, Addison Federer, Gabriel Aucoin, Justin P. Oubre, Austin Aucoin; extended family, Barbara Oubre and Broderick Holliman. Debra was preceded in death by her father, Barry Joseph Oubre Sr.; one brother, Barry Joseph Oubre Jr. Private services will be held at a later date.
