Sidney Joseph Landry Jr. July 26, 1926 November 7, 2014 Sidney J. Landry Jr., 88, a native of Morgan City and a resident of Gibson passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014 at his residence. Sidney is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Hazel Alleman Landry of Gibson; one son, Byron Landry of Gibson; two daughters: Suzanne "Sue" Landry of Gibson and Barbara Malik of Berwick; eight grandchildren: Jody, Keisha, Allison, Cory, Heather, Joshua, Hope and Jeannine; 18 great grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; two brothers: Ira Landry of Houston and Robert Landry of Berwick; two sisters: Betty Wiltz of New Iberia and Judy Landry of Morgan City along with a host of nieces and nephews. Sidney was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Lena Meranto Lnadry Sr.; one daughter, Charlotte Landry James; one brother, William Landry and one grandson, Kirby Lewis. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Twin City Funeral Home beginning at 5pm until 9pm with a Rosary being prayed at 5:30pm. Visitation will resume on Monday, November 10, 2014 at the funeral home starting at 8:30am until time of service at 10am at the funeral home. Sidney will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery following the service.
