Gerald Crouch Sr., 74, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, passed away, Monday, October 27, 2008 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Gerald served his country with pride in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Gerald loved hunting and fishing, going to the camp with the children and grandchildren. He liked being involved in local politics and gossiping at the local coffee shops.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Barbara Billiot Crouch of Morgan City, one son, Travis Crouch and his Fiancee Genie Bonner of Morgan City, one daughter, Julia Blaylock and her husband Jody of Berwick, three brothers; Andrew Crouch and his wife Lottie of Denham Springs, Anthony Crouch and Paula of Thibodaux, Arthur Crouch and his wife Margaret of Keithville, LA. Gerald is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Kristi Gaspard, Keith Michael Crouch, Kourtney Crouch, Joshua Blaylock, Brittany Crouch, Jordan Blaylock, April Crouch, Tyler Crouch, Caleb Crouch, Corey Phelps and his wife Sadie, Madison Bonner, Scottie Bailey and Dakota Bailey, five great-grandchildren; Dylan Barnett, Kaiden Crouch-Delaune, Kailie Crouch-Delaune, Jayden Crouch and Sydney Phelps.
Gerald was preceded in death by two sons, Gerald Crouch Jr., Keith Thomas Crouch, his parents, Arthur and Gladys Saunders Crouch, a grand daughter, Tiffany Crouch, two brothers, John and Jan Crouch.
The family will receive friends, Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6pm until 9pm. The visitation will resume Friday, October 31, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 9am until 11am. A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 11am. Gerald will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery with full Military Honors, conducted by the East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad.
