Allen Sauce

July 30, 1983 — January 31, 2015

Allen Joseph Sauce, 31, a resident of Morgan City, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at his home. Allen was born on July 30, 1983 in Houston, TX and grew up mostly in Dulac and Houma, Louisiana. He has resided in the Morgan City area for the past 12 years. He attended Ellender Memorial High School in Houma. His favorite activities included fishing in Louisiana bayous and on the Atchafalaya River, working on cars and boats, and entertaining friends. Allen was known to be someone who shared whatever he had, even if it wasn’t a lot, with friends, acquaintances, or strangers in need. He was always interested and willing to help. As a young child, Allen was filled with kindness for people, family pets and even wild animals. He never lost that sense of compassion. Allen was employed at Gulf Coast Welding Contractor shipyard in Baldwin, where he was learning welding, tacking, and a little Spanish. A hard worker, he took pride in making things better and doing for others. Allen also loved to party and his friends would say he knew how to have a good time. But he also showed determination and initiative to get things done and could often be found cutting lawns for neighbors on weekends in the heat of the summer. He had a strong Christian faith that he turned to for guidance and attended church in Morgan City. Allen had big dreams, and although he faced challenges in life, he took practical steps to pick himself back up when he fell down. He enjoyed life and he kept at it. He always had a great laugh, a sly smile, and rarely a frown no matter what he was going through. He wanted others to be happy and he was always willing to make a joke to see others smile and laugh. His family and friends were always rooting for him and are heartbroken to see him die so young and unable to fulfill some of his big dreams. Allen is survived by his father, Dewey Joseph Sauce Sr.; mother, Pam Sauce; and one sister, Stacy Sauce. Allen had many friends, some of whom he’d been close to since childhood and others that only knew him for a few years but appreciated his generous spirit and joie de vivre. He is going to be deeply missed. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Twin City Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Twin City Funeral Home with the visitation resuming from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
