Edward Joseph Mayon

Edward Joseph Mayon, 78, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Morgan City Healthcare Center. Edward was born on March 1, 1936 in Charenton the son of Leonce and Octavia Verrett Mayon. Edward loved listening to music and in his early years he loved to go dancing. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sister, Mary Blanco of Morgan City and also numerous nieces and nephews. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Leonce Mayon and Octavia Verrett Mayon; step father, Nephi Knope; wife, Elise Robin Mayon; five brothers; one sister. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Twin City Funeral Home with a visitation being held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Edward will be laid to rest at a later date in the Morgan City Cemetery.
