Sparkle Wiggins

October 27, 1947 — February 21, 2015

Sparkle Wiggins, 67, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Teche Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Sparkle was born on October 27, 1947 in Morgan City the daughter of Leon J. Hoffpauir and Vennie Lee Kirkland Hoffpauir. Sparkle loved to be outside and could often times be found tending to her garden. She loved going to the beach and sitting on the dock of the Pensacola Bay. Of all the things that Sparkle did in her life the thing she enjoyed the most was spending time with her family but especially loved the time she got to spend with her grandchildren; she also loved to cook and bake for her family. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Jerrell Wiggins of Morgan City; three children, J.J. Wiggins and wife Laura of Youngsville, Jarrod Wiggins and wife Andree of Morgan City, Jennifer Romero and husband Blake of Bayou Vista; eight grandchildren, Lauren Hebert, Cameron Wiggins, Mackenzie Wiggins, Tanner Wiggins, Quincee Wiggins, Symone Wiggins, Morgan Romero, and Brett Romero; one sister, Jane Langley; three brothers, Jerry Hoffpauir, Bob Hoffpauir, and Hanko Hoffpauir; numerous nieces and nephews. Sparkle was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Myrna Hoffpauir. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Blereau and Staff as well as the wonderful staff on the 6th floor of Teche Regional Medical Center, Dr. Carla Prejean, and Dr. Tomas Birreil for the wonderful care they gave Sparkle. The family would also like to thank their Power Products family. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Atkinson Memorial Presbyterian Church in Morgan City with a memorial visitation being held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given in Sparkle’s name to Atkinson Memorial Presbyterian Church c/o Twin City Funeral Home P.O. Box 132 Morgan City, LA 70381. Twin City Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
