Nicole Ann Rock, 36, a resident of Franklin and a native of Morgan City, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008 after a 6year battle with cancer in which she so valiantly fought. Nicole was born on August 4, 1972 to Ross and Patricia Rock. Nicole attended Morgan City High School. She was an awesome fun loving person with a great personality who had many friends. Anyone that would meet her would fall in love with her immediately. Nicole loved painting, writing short stories and award winning poetry. Her interest in writing began at an early age. When she was eight years old she started a neighborhood newsletter she called “The Lakeside Journal”. Most of you will remember her from Tampico’s where she worked for fifteen years. Her love for people and life gave her a vision to encourage others. “A Message in a Bottle” became a passion for her in her flight against cancer. Decorating bottles and putting Inspirational handwritten messages in them and were delivered to cancer patients at hospitals and doctor’s offices. She planned to write a handbook that could help people with what she was going through. Her courage was recognized by People Magazine and the Northwest Arkansas Times. Nicole loved her six beautiful children and her family and friends.

Nicole is survived by six beautiful children, Destiny Lynn Theriot, Victoria Aerial Nicole Theriot, Jade Brooke Theriot, Wyatt Neil Young, Dakota Sue Young and Lauryn Ann Freeman, her Fiancée, Chris Michael Freeman, her parents, Ross Paul and Patricia Billiot Rock, her sister, Brandy Pennison and her husband Bruce, a nephew, Bruce Andrew Pennison and niece Madison Nicole Pennison, and her grand parents Anthony and Helen Grandin Billiot.
Nicole was preceded in death by her grandparents, Zack and Ellina Pizzo Bennet and Edward Paul Rock.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 10am until 9pm. The visitation will resume Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 8am until 10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11am with Father Greg Fratt officiating.
Nicole will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
