Perry Richard

Perry James Richard, 44, a resident and native of Morgan City, passed away at his residence, Sunday, December 7, 2008. Perry enjoyed fishing, target practice, cooking gumbo and was known as a jokester. Perry was a good mechanic on old cars and racing cars. He was a workaholic, but found time to cheer for his favorite team, LSU. Perry loved his kids and family. Perry is survived by his parents, Clarence and Rita Richard, two sons, Perry James Richard II of Morgan City, Lucas Brent Michael Richard of Morgan City, two brothers, Mark Richard and his wife Crystal of Bayou Vista, Dennis Richard and his wife Susan of Morgan City, three sisters, Elaine R. Landry and her husband Carl of Bayou Vista, Denise R. Lake and her husband Mike of Belle River and Bonnie R. Gremillion and her husband Gary of Bayou L’Ourse. Perry is also survived by his companion, Madlyn Slawson and her son Glen Slawson, 5 nieces and 6 nephews and one great niece and great nephew. Perry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alcide Sr. and Lucy Richard and Francois and Luce Quebedeaux. The visitation will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 9am until 1:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 2pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
