Dannie Joseph Goulas, 63, a resident of Bayou Vista, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Dannie was born on July 14, 1951 in Morgan City the son of Henry and Thelma Bertrand Goulas.
Dannie was a very proud TAF member and was also the King of Krewe of da Brew. He was an avid football fan, following the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints very closely. Dannie was the owner and operator of MC Silk Screening in Morgan City for 20 years. Being a family man was his hobby and his grandchildren were his interest and his life. Dannie loved his wife and was a very devoted family man who took great care of his family. He was a very generous and passionate person who was devoted to his faith.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Paula Goulas of Bayou Vista; one daughter, Kelli Zerangue and husband Scottie of Berwick; one son, Chad Goulas and wife Rebekah of Tampa, Florida; five grandchildren, Luke Zerangue, Addison Zerangue, Marleyna Goulas, Roland Goulas, Stella Goulas; one brother, Harold Goulas and wife Christy; one sister, Mary Taylor and husband Glenn.
Dannie was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Thelma Bertrand Goulas; father-in-law, George Melancon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Greg Fratt officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until Mass time on Saturday at Sacred Heart. Dannie will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery Mausoleum following Mass.
