Lockwood Bonin Jr., 56, a lifeong resident of Morgan City, passed away, Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Lockwood enjoyed hunting, fishing and music. He would often sing his favorite songs, but he was never accused of being a good singer. Lockwood liked to start fixer upper projects, but someone else usually had to finish them, his wife Ginger. Lockwood loved his wife and children very much and he gave his heart to anyone that knew him.
Lockwood is survived by his wife, Ginger Ganaway Bonin of Morgan City, two sons, Lockwood Bonin III and his wife Nicole of Verdunville, Dustin Bonin of Morgan City, four daughters, Tammy Landry and her husband Mitchell of Tomball, TX, Ashley Michel of Morgan City, Brittany Bonin of Patterson, Gabrielle Bonin of Morgan City, his father, Lockwood Bonin Sr. of Morgan City, step-brother, Kevin Mitchell of Morgan City, two sisters, Linda Cole and her husband Don of Bayou Vista, Ginger Roy and her husband Sterling of Bayou Vista. 4 beautiful grandchildren, Halli Landry, Hayden Landry, Emma Bonin and Ethan Michel also survive Lockwood.
Lockwood was preceded in death by his mother, Lena Sauce Bonin, one brother, Curtis Bonin, his daughter, Trish Bonin and mother-in-law, Catherine Ganaway.
The family will receive friends, Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6pm until 9pm. The visitation will resume Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 9am until 1pm. The funeral service will commence at 1pm. Lockwood will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
