Vickie Lynn Crappell Toups died on Monday Jan. 5, 2009 at her residence.
She was a native and resident of Morgan City. Vickie was a Catholic by faith and had many loves in her life. Her life was a continual fight as she was disabled from childhood. Her children and grandchildren always came first. She enjoyed meeting new people and never met a stranger and was always helpful to others. She was full of life and enjoyed music and dancing. She also found time for animals and plants.
Vickie is survived by her mother, Joan Crappell Olivier, one son, Jeramie Toups of Baton Rouge, two daughters, Sabrina T. Landry of Bayou Vista, and Tessie Toups of Morgan City. She is also survived by four brothers, Wilton Crappell Jr. of Morgan City, Eroy Acaosta Sr. and his wife Heidi of Morgan City, Troy Aucoin and his wife June of Morgan City, and Scott Vaughn and his wife Julie of Walker, La., and one sister, Lisa Folse of Morgan City. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Ryken Allen and Leeaira Landry, one godchild, Shannon Folse, and one aunt, Virginia “Jinny” Crappell Hufstetler
She was preceded in death by her grandmother and grandfather, Virginia and Wilton Crappell, a son in law, Philip Landry, and her fiancee, Ralph Ohlin.
Visitation will be from 6PM to 9PM on Thursday Jan. 8, 2009 and again from 8AM to 4PM on Friday Jan. 9, 2009 with service at 2PM.
Vickie’s wishes were to be cremated.
