Irene Templet Fromenthal, born October 20, 1923, a native of Morgan City, passed away peacefully in Lafayette on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at the age of 91.
Irene was foremost a homemaker who selflessly served her family with love throughout her life. She humbly practiced her faith through the church by belonging to the Ladies Altar Society and the Holy Cross Bereavement Committee.
Irene volunteered at the convent when the Marianite sisters were active in Morgan City by shopping, cleaning, cooking special dishes, and starching and ironing for them. When asked why she did it, she responded simply that they prayed with her.
