He was also very proud of his 1958 Golden Glove boxing championship, and on one occasion, boxed in what is now Shannon Elementary School. Most of all, Jesse was proud of his family and will be remembered for the nicknames he gave to them; Honey, Tootsie, Brother, Jonni Cake, and Pumpkin.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his four children; Jeslyn Angeron and husband Danny of Berwick, Lane Larive and wife Laura of Patterson, Jonni Wilkinson and husband Nathan of Patterson, Marae Playe and husband Raymond of East Providence, R.I.; seven grandchildren, Shannon Navarro, Brad Angeron, Megan Larive, Luke Larive , Hailey Wilkinson, Kathryn Wilkinson and Daniel Playe; two great-grandchildren, Lauren Navarro and Emma Navarro; one sister, Sherry Bradley of Jeanerette; three brothers, James Larive and Justin Larive Jr. of Jeanerette; and Doney Larive of Houston, Tx.
