Oscar Benjamin LaCoste Sr. was born January 8, 1929 to McKinley Lacoste and Matilda Adams LaCoste. He was received into everlasting eternity with his Heavenly Father on March 23, 2009. His three great loves in life were God, his Family and commercial fishing. He loved to share the Bible and spend time in prayer with anyone he was around. Everyone knew how much he loved his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. He was proud, but humble to be a member of the church body at Bayou Chene Missionary Baptist Church. Oscar was a very loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather. Nothing could bring a bigger smile on his face than having all his family gathered together talking, eating, laughing and enjoying each other’s company. He supported his family through commercial fishing. He enjoyed the lifestyle of trapping, alligator hunting, crawfishing, shrimping and his most favorite of all catfishing. He loved being on the water and going to his camp on Avoca Island.
