Dorothy Pisani Duval, a native of Berwick, and s resident of Morgan City, died at Thiobodaux Regional Medical Center, Wednesday April 15, 2009. She was better known as “Dot” to all who knew her.
“Dot” was a person who enjoyed the simple things of life, and was very content with doing for her family and helping other people. She was a former member of the Catholic Daughters and the Ladies Altar Society at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking and family gatherings. Her children and grandchildren meant more to her then anything in her life.
She is survived by four sons, James and his wife Jane of Morgan City, Larry and his wife Tracy of Amelia, Russell of Morgan City, and Thomas and his wife Judy of Morgan City. Surviving her also are grandchildren, Roger and Julie Duval, Larry Jr. and Penny, Melinda and Hayt McCurray, Tammy and Herman Albritton, Thomas Jr. and Tina Duval, Gloria and Harold Smith, Jerry and Bonnie Duval, James and Michelle Duval, Dorothy Duval, and Betina Duval, Trevor Benoit and his wife Shari, Noble Benoit and his wife Lisa, Adele Gothan and her husband Kevin and Vincent Benoit.. Also surviving her are Great Grand Children, Nathiel and Cody Duval, Chelsea , Anna Mary, and Christen Blanchard, Andrew, Ross, and Madeline Albritton, Calvin Mayon, Austin, and Dylan Duval, JeanPaul Templet, Juliana Smith, Bria Duval, Chasity, Harley, and Chad Duval, Jordan and Raleigh Benoit, Audrey and Alexandra Gothan. One great great-grandchild, Brayden Duval Sons.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, James C Duval, one son Jerry Duval, her parents, Theodore and Artemise Guidry Pisani, three brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 17, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 1pm until 3pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 3pm. Dorothy will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
