John "John Boy" Thibodeaux

March 21, 1947 — April 17, 2009

John Albert “John Boy” Thibodeaux, 62, a resident of Morgan City and a native of Crowley, passed away Friday, April 17, 2009 at his residence. John enjoyed planting and yard work, fishing & hunting, music & dancing and traveling. John loved the simple things in life, he enjoyed helping others and never met a stranger. John especially enjoyed carpentry and was a jack of all trades. John always had a gracious smile when you met him. John is survived by his son, Tracy Thibodeaux of Lafayette, four daughters; Stacy Thibodeaux LeJeune of Ohio, Misty Thibodeaux Swiber and her husband Michael of Morgan City, Tammi Thibodeaux of Morgan City, Crystal Thibodeaux of Winnsboro, LA, two brothers Jerry Myers and his wife Susie of Morgan City, George Myers and his wife Kathy of Morgan City, one sister, Carolyn LeCompte of Houma. John is also survived by two grandchildren and one godson, Joshua Myers. John was preceded in death by his stepfather, LP Myers and stepmother, Mildred Myers and his biological parents, Alton and Mildred Thibodeaux. The visitation will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6pm until 9pm. The visitation will resume Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Twin City Funeral Home from 8am until 11am. Funeral services will commence at 11am with Brother Terry Bunner officiating. John will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
