Mynus Joseph Fabre Jr., 71, a lifelong resident of Berwick, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Mynus was born on July 5, 1944 in Berwick the son of Mynus Joseph Fabre Sr. and Irma Bailey Fabre.
Mynus enjoyed his many trips to the casino and loved to play bingo. He enjoyed being in the outdoors and could often times be found fishing, taking boat rides and camping with his family. He loved boats and was a chief engineer for many years and enjoyed working on boat engines. Of all the things that Mynus did in his life, the one thing that he loved the most was spending time with his family.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Margie Ribardi Fabre of Berwick; four children, Chris Anthony Fabre, Mynus Joseph Fabre III, Adam Joseph Fabre and Eugenie Rosalee Fabre all of Berwick; three grandchildren, Chris Anthony Fabre Jr., Margie Lynn Fabre and Febin Joseph Fabre; one sister, Karen Mulvihill of Patterson.
Mynus was preceded in death by his parents, Mynus J. Fabre Sr. and Irma Bailey Fabre; one sister-in-law, Mary Lou Hatch.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Twin City Funeral Home with a visitation being held from 9:00 a.m. until the service time. Following the services Mynus will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery.
