Clarence "Buggy" Aucoin, 80, a resident of Amelia, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in his home.
He was born in Morgan City on September 17, 1935, the son of Clarence P. Aucoin and Alberta Breaux Aucoin.
Clarence was a loving man. He enjoyed spending time with his family and having Sunday dinners with them. He was an avid sportsman that went hunting and fishing as often as he could. His dog, Tip Tip, was his faithful companion. Clarence also spent many hours working on lawn mowers. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend that will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Jacqueline Leblanc Aucoin of Amelia; four daughters, Nadine Picou and husband Eddie of Morgan City, Jeanie Kennedy and husband Edward of Amelia, Wendy Aucoin of Amelia, Shelley Cortez and husband Charles of Bayou L'Ourse; one brother, Kenneth Aucoin; seven sisters, Patricia Chaisson, Kathy Boudreaux, Cynthia Massicotte, Rhonda Gilmore, Sandra Savant, Evelyn Sellers, Rosetta "Rosie" McLaren; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Clarence is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Paul Aucoin and Alberta Aucoin; one son, Aaron Hebert; two brothers, Joseph Aucoin, David Lee Aucoin; one sister, Olive Broussard;stepmother Rosemae Aucoin and great grandson, Gavin.
Visitation will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 9am until Mass. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11am at church. Clarence will be laid to rest in St. Andrews Cemetery following Mass.
