Linda Deshotel Marks, 77, a resident of Morgan City, passed away in her home on Wednesday, April 20, 2016.
She was born on November 11, 1938 in Mamou, La, the daughter of Hammison and Dunia Deshotel.
Linda was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. She loved spending time with her family and cooking for them. Linda also enjoyed gardening and taking trips to the casino.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her four sons, Michael W. Marks of Morgan City, Gary P. Marks and wife Nanette of Morgan City, Carl J. Marks and wife Tammy of Bayou Vista, Patrick Marks and wife Audrey of Breaux Bridge; three daughters, Jeanette M. Bijeaux and husband Tannie of Youngsville, Freida M. Hartfield and husband Michael of Centerville, Barbara Miller and husband Carrol of Cecilia; eleven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Marks Jr; parents, Hammison and Dunia Deshotel; brothers, Ronald and Ragel Deshotel; and step-daughter, Kathleen Marks Mouton.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Twin City Funeral Home from 5pm-9pm and resume Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 8am until Mass. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10am. Linda will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery following mass.
