Flora Mae LaCoste Landry

Flora Mae LaCoste Landry, 85, a resident of Patterson, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Patterson Health Care. She was born on January 14, 1931 in Berwick, the daughter of Monroe LaCoste and Annie Elizabeth Miller LaCoste. Flora was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend that will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She had a passion for food, whether it be a restaurant or cooking at home, where she made her famous cabbage rolls. She also enjoyed trips to the casino, "Wheel of Fortune," and The Steve Harvey Show. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Ronnie J. Landry and wife Brenda of Bayou Vista, Gary W. Landry of Patterson; one daughter, Darlene Landry of Patterson; one sister, Josie Folse of Columbia, Ms; seven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and close companion, Joe DeMarco. Flora is preceded in death by her parents, Monroe LaCoste and Annie Elizabeth Miller LaCoste; brothers, Ira LaCoste, Jerry LaCoste, Manny LaCoste, Charles LaCoste; sisters, Rita Yokum, Mary Driskill, Juanita Oncale, and Margie Ratcliff. Visitation will be held at Twin City Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 5pm until 9pm and resume at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 8am until service time. A Funeral Service will begin at 11am. Flora will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery.
