Ina Kay Johnson, 56, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Patterson Healthcare Center.
Ina was born on August 20, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Robert Patrick Callahan and Ina Sorenson Callahan.
Ina was born deaf and enjoyed spending time and signing with her friends in Florida. She loved the beach and would get there every chance that she could; she also loved a good cup of coffee. She enjoyed being with her children and spending as much time as she could with them. Ina was very strong in her faith and used her bible as a her guide through life. Ina was a very funny, silly and humorous person, with a bubbly personality. She was very outgoing and always made people laugh, and she always had a smile on her face.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three daughters, Carolyn Sisto and fiance Zac Frame of Florida, Ramona Johnson and companion Jarred Gros of Morgan City, Tara Johnson and husband Tony Lucore of Morgan City; one son Tommy Johnson and companion Kristina Withers of Ohio; six grandchildren, Tito Rivera, Gabriel White, Esmeralda Rivera, Taylor Lucore, Kourtney Frame, Britney Lucore; one brother, Neil Callahan of Florida; one nephew, Chase Callahan of Florida.
Ina was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Patrick Callahan and Ina Sorenson Callahan; one son, Jonathan Johnson.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
