Shirley Ann Adams

Shirley Ann Adams, 80, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at AMG Specialty Hospital in Houma, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 16, 1935, in Shreveport, La, the daughter of Annie Irene Johnson. Shirley was a kind, gentle soul who selflessly helped others at every opportunity. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend that will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She worked at Nanking's Restaurant for 45 years. She and her family would like to extend a special thanks to all her friends at Patterson Health Care Center. She is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Mary Katherine Adams Vaughn of Patterson; brother, Lonnie Zack Johnson; sisters, Penny Johnson, Rosine Anne Johnson Rosecran; grandchildren, Chris Adams III, Amy Lynn Adams, Andrea Bridget Vaughn; great grandchildren, Alayzia Hall and four others; and life-long family friends, Taka and Anna Ikari and family. Shirley is preceded in death by her mother, Annie Irene Johnson; sons, Curtis James Adams, and Chris Adams Jr. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Patterson Healthcare Center, 110 Lia Street, Patterson, La 70392, beginning at 4pm.
