Joyce Marie Womack

Joyce Marie Womack, 80, a resident of Berwick, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Joyce was born on December 28, 1935 in Berwick the daughter of Earl C. Brown and Mary E. Gaspar Brown. Joyce loved her profession as a cosmetologist and she worked for Dottie's Clip N Curl for 22 years. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and mystery games on the computer and loved her dog Bella unconditionally. In her younger days Joyce enjoyed dancing and in her later years loved listening to her sons play music. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son, Randy Giroir of Berwick; four grandchildren, Michelle Arnold, Dawn Kennerson, Rodney Giroir Jr. and Christian Smallwood; great granddaughter Lauren Boudreaux as well as other great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren, Lila and Colt Boudreaux. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Earl C. Brown and Mary E. Gaspar Brown; one son, Rodney Giroir; husband, Mervin W. "Curly" Womack. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Twin City Funeral Home with a visitation being held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Joyce will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery following the services.
