Solly Marvin Robisheaux

Solly Marvin Robisheaux Jr, 62, a resident of Gibson, passed away in his home on Saturday, August 27, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. He was born on September 13, 1953 in Morgan City, the son of Solly Robisheaux Sr and June Bonner Robisheaux. Solly was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, and friend that will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was a true outdoorsman that enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 24 years, Patricia Ann Robisheaux of Gibson; parents, Solly Marvin Robisheaux Sr and June Bonner Robisheaux; daughter, Melissa Rowland and husband Chris of Franklinton; brother, David Robisheaux and wife Donna of Gulfport, Ms; sisters, Beth Holley and husband Randy of Franklin, Bridgette Basas of Morgan City; grandchildren, Jared Phelps, Jessica Patterson, Heather Patterson; one great grandchild on the way; and numerous extended family. Solly is preceded in death by his son, Mark Phelps; paternal grandparents, Solomon Robisheaux and Goldie Robisheaux; maternal grandparents, Emory Leonard Bonner Sr and Lordsina Hebert Bonner; brothers, Neil Robisheaux, Garland Robisheaux; and sister, Mary Hill. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 8AM until 10AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10AM. Solly will be inurned on a later date.
