Cary Sylvian Cheramie

Cary Sylvian Cheramie, 52, a resident of Patterson, passed away Monday, September 5, 2016 at his home. Cary was born on July 12, 1964 in Morgan City, the son of Sylvian Joseph “Joe" Cheramie and Patricia Wiggins. Cary was a hardworking father who always worked to provide for his children to make sure they had the things that they wanted. He was an avid car collector and loved each of his vehicles and always took exceptional care of each one. Of all the things that Cary did in life, spending time with his family was the most important thing, he especially loved the time he got to spend with his children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered always by his three children, Devan Serpa of Patterson, Cory Pierce of Morgan City and Meghan Cheramie of Morgan City; five grandchildren, Hailey Pierce, Camila Elizondo, Daylin Dewey, Jaleah Andrews and Jeremiah Andrews; one brother, Michael Cole and wife Kelly of Lafayette; one sister, Cherie Stafford and husband Donald of Panama City, Florida. Cary was preceded in death by his father, Joe Cheramie; maternal grandparents, Phillip and Agnes Wiggins; paternal grandparents, Roosevelt and Eunice Cheramie. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Twin City Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Wiggins officiating. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m.
