Jaidyn Marie Montet, the beloved and cherished seven year old daughter of Chris and Kori Garrett Montet was born on December 31, 2008 and left this world much too soon on Sunday, September 11, 2016.
Jaidyn was a bright and energetic 2nd grader at M.E. Norman Elementary School. Jaidyn was the princess of her family and was the light of everyone's world. Jaidyn loved to dance, draw, swim, ride bikes, play with her brother and her friends, and loved collecting Shopkins toys. Jaidyn's infectious energy was equally matched by her intelligence. She loved learning and excelled at everything she did. Her passion for life and learning made her a joy to be around. Jaidyn was so outgoing that she never met a stranger. She loved talking to everyone and making everyone smile. Jaidyn never let anyone have a bad day as she was always smiling and making people laugh. Even with intelligence beyond her years, she still maintained a sweet childlike innocence that permeated everything that she did. What will be missed most are all the silly faces that she was constantly making, her sweet voice, her little "handshakes" that she did with Mommy every night before bedtime and playing "rock, paper, scissors" with Daddy before he tucked her into bed.
Jaidyn had a beautiful personality that touched the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all.
Along with her parents Chris and Kori, left to treasure her memory are one brother, Gavyn Smart of Bayou L'Ourse; maternal grandmother, Dana Garrett of Morgan City; paternal grandparents, Larry and Jackie Montet of Amelia; maternal great grandmother Grace Garrett; five uncles, Kody Pederson, Nicky Pederson, Nathan Montet and wife Tasha, Shawn Montet and wife Charmaine, Mike Beadle; cousins, Gabe, Kali, Savanah, Peyton, Tristan, Jace, Brandon and Nanny Michelle Williams.
Jaidyn entered into heaven to meet her maternal great-great grandparents, Joseph and Sadie Siracusa; paternal great grandparents, Ernest and Gertrude May and Russell and Nona Montet; great uncles, Raymond Siracusa, Archie May, Donald Montet, Steve Montet; great aunt Annette Crochet; great-great uncle B.J. May; great-great cousin Ella Ray Jeansonne.
