Allen "Coco" Joseph Hebert Sr., 80, a resident of Amelia, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 22, 2016 in Thibodaux.
He was born on July 29, 1936 in Stephensville, Louisiana the son of Paul Elise Hebert and Viola Marie Aucoin Hebert.
Coco retired as a beloved cook with a career that took him around the globe with Tidex and John E. Chance. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and watching boxing. However, he loved music; especially singing and playing guitar for his family. He loved cooking for get-togethers and spending time with his grandkids. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend that will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years Elizabeth "Ann" Provost Hebert; one son, Allen Hebert Jr. and wife Lisa; two daughters, Susan Hebert Bourgeois and husband Bill, Bonnie Hebert Mendoza and husband Mark; one brother, Aaron "Gagan" Hebert and companion Theresa Simoneaux, four grandchildren; Matthew Bourgeois and girlfriend Katie Carter, Sarah Bourgeois, Zachary Hebert, Brittany Johnson and husband Jonney; one great grandchild, Luke Johnson.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Paul E Hebert and Viola Marie Aucoin Hebert two sons, Steven Hebert, Daniel Hebert; two brothers, Nilton "Fatty" Hebert, Hilton "Balloon" Hebert.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 9am until Mass at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Amelia. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11am. Allen will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum.
