Jeannette Vincent Fernandez, 93, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Patterson Healthcare Center.
Jeannette was born on January 20, 1923 in Gueydan the daughter of Henry Vincent and Olive Hebert Vincent.
Jeannette was a homemaker and dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She loved spending time with her family, but especially loved the time she got to spend with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful seamstress making clothes for her children and was also the President of the PTA when her children were in school. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by four children, John H. Fernandez and wife Brenda of Morgan City, Craig M. Fernandez of Morgan City, Frances F. Beadle of Lafayette, Jane F. Stansbury and husband Gary Sr. of Morgan City; eight grandchildren, Justin Fernandez and wife Jenny, Jaysen Hebert and wife Aja, Sarah Fears and husband Brandon, Matt Beadle and wife Morgan, Kelli Beadle, Gary Stansbury Jr. and wife Meagan, Meredith Nave and husband Nicholas, Natalie Graves and husband Vince; 17 great grandchildren; one sister, Marjorie Hartwell of Gueydan.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Olive Hebert Vincent; husband, John N. Fernandez; two brothers, Pete Vincent and Ed Vincent; two sisters, Lucille Guidry and Hilda Istre.
A Prayer Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Prayer Service. Following services Jeannette will be laid to rest next to her husband John in the Morgan City Cemetery Mausoleum.
