Betty Ann Landry Rink, 83, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at West Jefferson Medical Center.
Betty was born on November 18, 1933 in Bayou L’Ourse the daughter of Cleopha and Agatha Boudreaux Landry.
Betty loved and adored her family, but especially cherished the time she got to spend with her grandchildren. She could often be found outside tending to her flowers and plants in her garden. She loved to cook for her family and anytime she made chicken stew, you knew all her family was coming over. She was a faithful and devoted parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 67 years, James W. “Jimmy” Rink Jr. of Morgan City; two daughters, Janet Carmouche of Morgan City and Debbie Rink of Baton Rouge; four grandchildren; Wayne Vidos and fiancé Sharee Circello of Alabama, Kelly Carmouche Franklin and husband Todd of Baton Rouge, Chad Carmouche of Morgan City, Clint Adams and wife Heather of Morgan City; Rachelle Theriot; 7 great grandchildren, Camren Elliott, Kaiden Theriot, Alexandria Vidos, Kieton Theriot, Gabriella Vidos, Olivia Adams, Ryan Vidos; numerous nieces and nephews; loving neighbors, Wayne and Christie Paray and children.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Cleopha and Agatha Boudreaux Landry; five sisters, Gladys Landry Giroir, Elma Landry Pennison, Ruby Landry Pete, Zoe Landry, Esther Marino; three brothers, Emmett Landry, Percy Landry, Elmore Landry.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Noas Kerketta celebrating the Mass. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2016 at Twin City Funeral Home with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 p.m. The visitation will resume from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. dismissal for Mass on Tuesday at the funeral home. Following Mass Betty will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
