Antoine Bernard

Antoine “Tan” Bernard July 17, 1938 August 20, 2009 Antoine Bernard, 71, resident of Bayou L’ourse passed away on August 20, 2009 at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. Antoine loved to hunt and spend his time in the outdoors. He was also a member of St. Mary Parish AARP. Antoine is survived by his wife, Marion Bernard, his two sons Anthony Bernard and his wife Sandra of League City, Texas, Paul Bernard of Morgan City and is also survived by Gary Bullock of Morgan City, his daughter Jane Chelette and her husband David of LaPorte Texas, his brother James Leo Bernard and his wife Barbara of Opelousas and his sister Marie Leger and her husband Levi, his sister-in-law Geneva Bernard of Patterson and his mother Helea Marks Bernard of Port Berry, Louisiana. Antoine is also survived by his two grandchildren whom he loved very much Justin and Dayna Chelette and numerous nieces and nephews. Antoine is preceded in death by his father, Francis Bernard, two brothers David Joseph Bernard, and John Bernard and nephew James “Jimmy” Bernard. The visitation will be held Friday, August 21, 2009 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6pm until 9pm. A Rosary will be recited at 7pm at Twin City. The visitation will resume on August 22, 2009 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church at 8am until 10:00am. A Mass of Christian burial will follow immediately at 10:00am at the church. Antoine will be laid to rest at the St. Andrew’s Cemetery in Amelia, LA.
