Cecil Michael “Mike Baker” Nolan, 60, a resident of Bayou Vista, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 2, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Mike was born on February 19, 1957 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the biological son of Cecil Duff Nolan Sr. and Betty Lou Pendergrass and adopted son of Virginia “Ginny” Phelps. He loved to fish and never met a stranger. He enjoyed being outdoors, he took pride in his plants and loved walking. He was an avid Saints fan and loved Harley Davidsons. He always took care of the people he loved the most and he was loved by many. Although he’s gone he will never be forgotten.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Connie Sutter Nolan of Bayou Vista; his son, Cecil “Mikie” Stratton of Bayou Vista; four daughters, Sedonia Stratton of Bayou Vista, Kimberly Dauzat, and husband Sammie of Alexandria, LA, Courtney Chriceol Reynaud and husband Corbin of Calhoun, LA, and Brittany Nolan of Bayou Vista; six granddaughters, Victoria Stratton, Angelina Stratton, Alyssa Brown, Krisalina Stratton, Braysley Reynaud and Lakyn Carnley; two grandsons; Damian “Bruddy” Brown II and Maddin Reynaud; three sisters, Lynn Day of Stuttgart, AR, Martha Avants of West Monroe, and Betty Ann Beavers of Little Rock, AR; two brothers; Duff Nolan of Stuttgart, AR, and Robert Beavers of Little Rock, AR; numerous nieces and nephews; two best friends, more like brothers, Bobby Adams and Calvin Guidry.
Mike was preceded in death by his biological parents, Cecil Duff Nolan Sr. and Betty Lou Pendergrass and Virginia “Ginny” Phelps.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Crossing Place Church with a visitation being held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Following the services Mike will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the family through an account that has been set up at Patterson State Bank.
