Mary Ella Thompson Boudreaux, 76, a resident of Bayou Vista, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family and lifetime friends.
Mary Ella was born on June 2, 1940 on a camp boat in the middle of the Atchafalaya River, the daughter of James and D’Etta Breaux Thompson.
Mary Ella enjoyed camping and cooking for her family. She loved her family and being with them was the most important thing to her and that was evident as she worked side by side with her family at Berwick Supply since 1978.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 56 years, Gardie Boudreaux of Bayou Vista; two children, Lynette Boudreaux (Sid Nelson) of Patterson and Britt Boudreuax (Jody) of Prairieville; three grandchildren, Braden, Addison and Sydney Boudreaux; great granddaughter, Zaylah; other grandchildren, Josh Nelson, Theresa Chellette (Daniel); other great grandchildren, Breanna, Matthew, Christian, Gabriel and Phoebe; one brother, Todd Thompson; one sister, Amber Kimball (John), sister-in-law, Rae Honderich (Joe); brother-in-law, Danny Boudreaux. Mary Ella is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary Ella was preceded in death by her parents, James and D’Etta Breaux Thompson and one brother, Clifton Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Twin City Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Harden officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Twin City Funeral Home with the visitation resuming from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Following the services Mary Ella will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery Mausoleum.
