Earl J. Derouen, 58, a resident of Bayou Vista was taken to his heavenly home on Friday, March 17, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Earl was born on January 26, 1959 in Franklin the son of Walter Derouen Sr. and Nellie Picard Derouen.
He was a loving husband and father and was also a hard worker since the age of 17. He was employed by Shores Construction and his favorite hobbies included playing the slots at the casino and spending time with his family which he loved so much.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 29 years, Ronda Derouen of Bayou Vista; two sons, Brian Derouen and Brad Derouen both of Bayou Vista; three granddaughters, Shyla, Jaden and Skylar; his father, Walter Derouen Sr. of Franklin; one brother, Walter Derouen Jr. and wife Dian; four sisters, Kathy Broussard and husband Lawrence, Shirley Leger and husband Donnie, Mary Choate and husband Horace and Nancy Clements; one sister-in-law, Karen Leonard and husband Keith; one brother-in-law, Joey Ladoucer; mother-in-law, Ida Ladoucer; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and coworkers.
Earl was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Picard Derouen; one sister, Earline Clements; father-in-law, Sydney Ladoucer.
A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Twin City Funeral Home with Rev. Den Hussey officiating and the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the family.
