Alverda St. Germain Boone

Alverda St. Germain Boone, 93, a resident of Morgan City has been a resident of Morgan City Health Care Center for 1 ½ yrs. Passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Alverda is survived by one son, Steve McCann Sr. of Houma; one grandson, Steve McCann Jr. and wife Amy of Daphne,Al; three great grandsons; Steve McCann III, Christian McCann, and Dominique McCann; three brothers, Jessie St. Germain, Ivan (Blackie) St. Germain, and Lynn St. Germain; one sister, Eve Blakeman; and good friends, Benny Brady, Catherine and Richard Hauser. Alverda was preceded in death by her parents, Jean George & Effie Simoneaux St. Germain; husband, Silas “Bennie” Boone; granddaughter, Cheryl McCann; one sister, Thelma Blanco; and one brother, James St. Germain. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Twin City Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Following services, Alverda will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
