Nelia Fostine Lee

Nelia F. Cavalier Lee August 30, 1926 September 10, 2009 Nelia Lee a resident of Morgan City and a native of Pierre Part La. passed away on September 10, 2009 at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City La. Nelia had a zest for life and you could see it in her smile and hear it in her singing everywhere she went. She enjoyed cooking and especially frying up good ol’ beignets for the family and friends. Nelia liked to cut a rug and at times just like to sit and listen to music play on the radio. Nelia love to travel and experience new sights and people wherever she went. Nelia was just plain fun to be around! Her family and friends will truly miss Nelia. Nelia Lee is survived by her son Euclide Legnon of Morgan City, her daughters; Rita Legnon and her fiancé Michael Estell of Patterson, Anna Stevens of Berwick, Mary Jane Comeaux of Morgan City, Betty Jane Franklin and her husband Ricky of Berwick, Peggy Boone of Berwick and Dorothy Ahmad and her husband “Dean” of Patterson and her 30 grandchildren, 92 great grandchildren and 30 great-great grandchildren. Nelia Lee is preceded in death by her husband Clarence Lee, her father and mother, Honore and Angelina Cavalier, her son Norah Legnon, her daughter Gloria Horton, two grandchildren, one great grandchild and two brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Twin City Funeral Home starting at 9am until 11am. The service will begin at 11am at the funeral home and Nelia will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
