Georgia Guillotte, 71, a resident of Pierre Part, passed away at her home Wednesday, May 31, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Georgia was born on January 28, 1946 in Baton Rouge, the daughter of George Redden and Jo S. Wade.
Georgia loved the outdoors; she spent all of her spare time on the water fishing, doing yard work , or catering to her birds. Georgia loved her birds; from her beautiful peacocks, to her white doves, you name it, she owned it, and took care of it proudly. Georgia had inside hobbies as well, which were sewing and ceramics.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Willis Guillotte Sr; one son, Willis "Jody" Guillotte Jr. and wife Rachel of Belle River; three daughters, Marie LaCoste and husband Chris, Paula Guillotte and companion Corey, and Brandy Guillotte, all of Belle River; one brother, D. "Buddy" Redden of Golden Meadow; seven grandchildren, Derek Domingue, Garett Domingue Sr., Heather Wendt, James Billiot Jr., Amanda Billliot, Kandie Lingner and Jason Tyler Guillotte; 11 great grandchildren .
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents George Redden and Jo S. Wade; stepfather, John Wade; three sisters, Sandy Redden, Barbara Ann Sassoni, and Linda Sassoni, one brother; Gene Redden; and one grandchild, Jeremy Paul Domingue Sr.
Pallbearers will be Chris LaCoste, James Billiot Jr., Derek Domingue, Jody Guillotte, Roland Wendt Jr., Grant Landry, Daniel Wilkerson, Andy Field, and Corey Blanchard.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Twin City Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Watson officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Following the service, Georgia will be laid to rest in the Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery in Belle River.
