Elodie Blanco McCrary a native of Belle River and a resident of Morgan City passed away September 20, 2009 at the Patterson Health Care Unit. Elodie loved to clean, put puzzles together, read garden and she especially enjoyed her dog “Peanut”. Elodie also was a devout catholic, a loving and caring mother and let’s not forget a fan of the Saints.
Elodie is survived by her daughter, Angela McCrary and her finance’ Scott Fisher of Morgan City, her brother Tarlton Blanco and his wife Verna of Morgan City, her sister Enola Aucoin of Morgan City, and her sister-in-law Mona Blanco of Morgan City.
Elodie is preceded in death by her husband, Earl A. McCrary, her parents Joseph and Felice Blanco, three brothers; Adam, Sidney, and Dudley Blanco and two sisters Noemie Duggin, and Norma Barrilleaux.
Visitation will begin on September 23, 2009 at 8am until 11am at Holy Cross Church and a Mass of Christian Burial will immediately begin at 11am at the church. Elodie will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
