Judy Downer Adams January 20, 1940 October 8, 2009 Judy Lynn Adams a native of Shreveport and resident of Berwick passed away at her residence surrounded by her family. Judy was a mother that was devoted to her children and made sure they were supported in whatever they chose to do. She was a loving and caring wife to her husband, “Mickey” of 50 years and was one who always believed in putting your best foot forward in life. Judy was a wonderful example of a mother and wife to all whom knew her, she will be missed dearly. Judy is survived by her husband, Ewing “Mickey” Adams of Berwick, her son Michael David Adams and his wife Hope of Houma, her two daughters; Michelle D. Adams of Nederland, Texas, and Miki D. Courtney and her husband Bobby Courtney Jr. of Berwick and her daughter-in-law Alana Alcina of Morgan City, her brother William “Corky” Downer of Patterson and her sister Leslie Downer Martin of Lafayette. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Trey Dunmon, Nick Wiltz, Marki Beasley, McKenzie Beasley, Megan Adams, Renee Dufrene, Ross Cheramie, Joshua Courtney, Stephnie Courtney, Barron Courtney, and Tate Alcina. Judy was preceded in death by her parents William and Jimmie Downer Sr. and her son Monte Daniel Adams. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2009 at 4pm until 7pm at Twin City Funeral Home. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Judy Adams’ name.
