Gertrude Gilmore

Gertrude Breaux Gilmore, a native of Raceland, La. and a resident of Berwick, La., passed away at the Patterson Health Care Unit on Monday, November 2, 2009, in her ninety ninth year. Gertrude was a Catholic belonging to St. Stephen’s Church in Berwick. She enjoyed many things in her long life, but most of all, her children, grand children and great grand children. Gertrude is survived by her two sons; David Gilmore of Berwick and Guy Gilmore Sr. of Berwick, her two daughters; Kathleen Barrilleaux of Berwick and Sue Scarbrough of Berwick along with numerous grand children, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents; Ernest and Alice Breaux, her husband Cecil “Snooky” Gilmore, three brothers, four sisters and one grand son. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 starting at 9:00am until 11:00am at Twin City Funeral Home and sevice will start at 11:00am at the funeral home. Gertrude will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery.
