Lillian Blanchard Aucoin

Lillian Blanchard Aucoin a native of Bayou L’Ourse and a resident of Amelia passed away at Teche Regional Med. Center on November 25, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. Lillian loved her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren very much and in turn received much love from them. Lillian understood much about life and knew how to give the right answer for life’s questions when they came up. Her family and friends will miss Lillian tremendously.
Lillian is survived by her two sons; Emile “EJ” Aucoin and his wife, Elsie of Bayou Dularge and Stanley Aucoin Jr. and his wife, Connie of Morgan City, eight daughters; Betty Vicknair of Amelia, Marion Bernard of Bayou L'Ourse, Leona Crawford of Bayou L’Ourse, Lillian Rebardie and her husband, Harry “Putt” of Amelia, Judy Tabor and her husband, Michael of Slidell, Carolyn Giandelone of Amelia, Brenda Butler and her husband Jimmy of West Monroe, Pam Patureau and her husband, Ira of Bayou L’Ourse. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.
Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Aucoin Sr., her parents Emile and Leona Blanchard, four brothers; Roy, Adam Sr., Russell Sr. and Hubert Blanchard, one sister Eula Mae Landry, one granddaughter Karen Primm, three son-in-law’s; Ernest “Buster” Vicknair, Tommy Crawford, and Antoine Bernard.
Lillian’s visitation will start on Friday, November 27, 2009 at 5:00pm until 10:00pm at Twin City Funeral Home and resume on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Amelia from 9:00am until 11:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am at the church. Lillian will be laid to rest in St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery in Amelia.
